Simon Crocker's birthdate on his gravestone was April so now its 15/16 August? The continuity timeline guys seem to have problems with the dates sometimes. Not sure how Simon got it though and who was torn out of the photo and why? Just thought I'd point that out since you guys like the little details.

That ledger seems to date a long way back, (hundreds of years apparently) it is one of the many things yet to be fully explored in Haven. When Roy writes in his journal, he dates it August 15, 1955, but when Duke is reading the journal (present day) the entry for Stuart says August 16, 1955. As far as Nathan being the dad, what other reason would there be for hiding the Colorado Kid? And is Arla the skinwalker, and that's why she's looking for the Colorado Kid?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271373189216022547.post-82419673675568374422012-11-21T13:23:26.302-08:002012-11-21T13:23:26.302-08:00For extra bonus facepalm points, Emily Rose did a ...For extra bonus facepalm points, Emily Rose did a way better job than I expected at making it clear that this isn't Audrey. Not that Nathan noticed. He's off blithely in teenage romance land, although I suppose it might have been expected given his response to his father's statement that if he and Audrey fall in love, bad things will happen. He didn't pay attention then, either, why should he pay attention to timestream integrity!

Yeah, we may have done a lot of capslocking and swearing at Nathan for that. I suppose it's a sign of how good the show is, that we get this invested in the characters.Kitty Chandlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05524808952260453841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271373189216022547.post-43819405253908913722012-11-21T11:28:46.889-08:002012-11-21T11:28:46.889-08:00I'm so glad I'm not the only one yelling a...I'm so glad I'm not the only one yelling at Nathan through this entire episode. Nathan honey, that is NOT Audrey! He exasperates me, especially when he and Sarah go off for a beach picnic (complete with clothing and hair change for her) possibly causing more problems with the timeline. So not thinking with his brain at all.Elpinoinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03811932870175631538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271373189216022547.post-89243253557201013852012-11-21T07:06:53.008-08:002012-11-21T07:06:53.008-08:00Hey, good eye! Yeah, that's why we lean towards Nathan's gobsmacked deadpan being more because he's trying to picture her being a mother than the other. On the other hand, the laws of biology, physics, and space-time are more like guidelines in Haven, so it's at least more possible than it would be otherwise. But yes, all other evidence being the case, she'd have to be pregnant for a year. Poor Sarah.

We love writing these things, and it's always good to share that love with clever readers and fellow fans!Kitty Chandlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05524808952260453841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271373189216022547.post-14092266198081404502012-11-21T07:00:46.806-08:002012-11-21T07:00:46.806-08:00Aw, thank you! We actually started doing this with Grimm, and then when that wasn't enough we looked over the other shows we watched in common. Haven seemed like a natural choice, since we both enjoy it. And we're glad you enjoy our enjoying it.

As for Touch, neither of us have seen it. I have some memory of it coming out and then it got lost in the slew of new shows around that time, but with Haven ending its third season soon and Grimm on hiatus till February, we'll have a look at the pilot in January and see what we think of doing a recapalypse. :)Kitty Chandlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05524808952260453841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271373189216022547.post-52976726441696680572012-11-20T13:39:32.280-08:002012-11-20T13:39:32.280-08:00Love this site! I really don't think that Nathan is the father as in another episode ( Magic Hour part 1 I think?) they clearly showed the Colorado Kid's birthday as being in August of 1956 which would make for a really long pregnancy for Sarah :-) Thank you both for this wonderful site!! If I had missed this episode (like I did the previous ones), it would have been a very comprehensive interpretation..but I think it was even better that I had watched. I do love me some Duke and appreciated your comments about him.

PS..I will be watching "Touch" next year...just in case you have any urge to recap it...hint, hint.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13049440006745874812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271373189216022547.post-42684443336905104062012-11-19T07:56:51.161-08:002012-11-19T07:56:51.161-08:00Awww, glad you liked it! Yeah, our schedule can be...Awww, glad you liked it! Yeah, our schedule can best be summed up as, watch Haven and Grimm (since they air on the same night) at a stupid hour to watch either show let alone both, flail around as we wind down and type up notes/immediate impression, wake up and stagger through breakfast and things and then spend most of Saturday doing these recap/analysis things, so giddy is a good word for it. Punchy is usually how we describe the back half of writing these.

You are correct, I think! And the recaplysis has been so amended, thanks for that. Silly Nathan and his accent and swallowing his words. I think I remember making out what Stuart said, I'll try and remember to toss it in tonight. It's been a hell of a weekend.

Grimm definitely has its downsides initially and lately, but it's also very well written for all that. I'm afraid the first season will be a bit less comprehensive than later, because we started this on tumblr just blathering about the Renard bits. But all of this season should be pretty comprehensive! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)Kitty Chandlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05524808952260453841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271373189216022547.post-59056245716278377512012-11-18T08:55:49.201-08:002012-11-18T08:55:49.201-08:00LOL! (And I actually did - alone, with my computer...LOL! (And I actually did - alone, with my computer. Not just laughing-on-the-inside and faking LOL.) That was a very giddy, very comprehensive rundown of the episode. An episode that I have already watched and then most-watched a second time. So reading this was like watching it 3 times... in one weekend. Er. Yeah. Anyway.

I'm pretty sure that at the end Nathan actually said to Audrey, "[We or I] were kind of her first *case*", not "kiss". I heard it the way you did the first time, but the second time around I heard "case", and it makes more sense than Nathan admitting to Audrey that he kissed Sarah. It was seriously mumbled. I still can't make out what Stuart said to Sarah after he accepted that the photograph was of him as an old man. He sounded happy and relieved, but the actual words were as clear as a Peanuts adult.

I'm off to read older posts on this blog... sadly, I haven't had a chance to watch Grimm yet. I saw the pilot and the second episode, but then something happened and I missed a few and they got auto-erased before I could catch up. I wish Netflix had it!oSoFinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10723296011087535612noreply@blogger.com
