As you are no doubt all aware, the entity currently known as William arrived in Haven under false pretenses of amnesia, maintaining that disguise for all of a day before his accomplishments with the mind-altering black pebbles whose substance has yet to be determined, but which also seem to contribute to his ability to mark other people and alter their Troubles. Subsequent events have confirmed the connection he claims to have with the entity currently known as Audrey Parker, via a shared gunshot wound. Unfortunately the gunshot was inflicted before the William entity could share what information he has about the Troubles and their origin, and his part in the existence of Haven. We have no doubt that the information he intended to share was highly suspect, but it at least would have provided a framework for future theories.

(And no, no one is allowed to interfere with Nathan Wuornos or point out to him that shooting everything that comes out of the barn might not exactly be the best policy.)

Further developments in the William case were complicated by the arrival of the would-be mysterious Darkside Seekers at North Haven Cemetery on June 20th. Despite their lack of what any right-thinking operative would call competence they were in possession of a video camera and an internet connection, which is all one needs these days to cause trouble. At least one of them appears to consider himself a legitimate investigator or scientist, despite having only the rudimentaries of investigation, no situational awareness, and no concept of scientific method. Byrne fell over a pile of garbage bags, for crying out loud. Though he has a point about the gas leaks. He and Harris arrived at the scene of the first incident immediately after its conclusion and proceeded to trample over most of the finer evidence, discovering the corpse and disturbing the entity within, causing its flight before it could be apprehended. Though the Seekers were too caught up in their own flight to note this at the time or later, we noticed that the entity did not try to attack either of them, indicating that despite its apparent lack of control or a clear pattern, one existed. I strongly recommend apprehending the Darkside Seekers after they are outside the town borders and educating them in proper investigative procedures and respecting the team already on the ground.

As long as you don't get caught. I'm not sure there's not a sub-type to be added there, but insufficient data. And really not enough to start a full file, though we might attach them to Toothy as time goes on, depending on what else we can dig up. Gonna make Sam dig in these archives more, though, the amount of dust covering them is ridiculous. I haven't seen this type of triad in, what, five years? If not more.

Also I would just like to note that whoever cursed the Crocker line really needs to stop reading Genesis. Or Sandman. Or both.

I still maintain that's an unreasonable attitude to take to Crocker the younger. That being said, what are we going to do about Laurel and Hardy McLurkersons, are we treating them as attachments to Toothy for now, are we giving them separate files? Do we even have sufficient data for them to start files? I suspect we're all at least mentally classifying them TL/TD.

Presents with: Subject has a marked tendency to babble when experiencing strong emotion in general and strong negative emotion in particular. Similar to subject ST-BD-####'s own tendencies to obfuscate with overwhelming amounts of data, save that Mason does so untrained and as a natural self-defense mechanism. She does not appear to do so with deliberate intent to conceal her own emotions and indeed is very easy to read as a genuine rule, as much by inclination as by skillset. Subject is capable of being blunt and forthright without cruelty, and preferences discussing matters openly over concealing her feelings. This may be related to her prior training as a journalist and/or may be innate to her sense of self. Subject's radius, when seen briefly, indicated a strong tendency to research and classify anomalous aspects of her life in a manner indicative of journalistic training as well as a desire for an organized mind, possibly to combat what she perceived as her own internal chaos. When confronted with the truth that her supposed auditory hallucinations had some basis in reality, subject was markedly unflappable, using rapid-fire speech as a coping mechanism while acting to the benefit of Duke Crocker in spite of her justifiable fears. Currently, subject appears to be managing the reemergence of her Trouble (pursuant to ceasing medication) and apparent cessation with the destruction of the artifact known as the Barn with remarkable aplomb. Subject may also be embarking on a romantic relationship with subject ST-BD-####, though nothing concrete has been established in that direction as yet. Updated 10/31/13: Subject is extremely capable of thorough and extensive research, though appears to suffer from some degree of insecurity (imposter syndrome highly probable) relating to her abilities, particularly when addressing new and significantly older employers. Indeterminate as to which of these factors, if not both, was at play in her insecurity. However, this does not deter her from noting circumstances and behaviors that are out of the ordinary, such as the brothers Teagues attitude toward her. Subject continues to be remarkably calm and collected under severe stressors, including an assault by subject BD-#### which would have resulted in her death had subject ST-BD-#### not intervened.

Occupation: Day trader on Wall St., spent ~6 months additionally keeping open the Grey Gull while subject ST-BD-#### was temporarily detained within the Barn. Rarely seen performing any work-related activities, save drinking and tending bar at the Gull, however.

Marital Status: Married, separated.

Race: Troubled.

Classification: BD-####

Presents with: Subject presented initially with normal affect and minimal familiarity with the unique nature of Haven. Although he did not have occasion to refer to specific aspects of the phenomena routine to Haven he reacted with no great degree of surprise or alarm when he became entangled with one such phenomenon and remarked with casual acceptance upon the unusually high death rate of the town. Subject resisted attempts by TD-BD-#### and TL-BD-#### to facilitate his leaving of Haven; all indications are that he correctly suspected the involved parties of being less than forthright about their intentions. Subsequent to the return of his brother, subject ST-BD-####, and learning of the sexual infidelity of his wife he attempted to ingratiate himself into the company of his brother and make himself of use to the population of Haven in general and his brother in particular. Upon his exclusion from his brother's circle of trust and the lack of other intimate emotional or intellectual connections within Haven, as well as having displayed unwillingness to return to New York, the subject developed a connection with TR-BD-####, to both their detriment and her death committed by the subject. It is unclear how premeditated the act was, though whether or not he intended the murder he certainly intended to commit assault with a deadly weapon upon someone. Subject displays inconspicuous wealth and the potential for acuity of thought when not consumed by emotional issues, though his behavior and his consumption of alcohol indicate both an addictive personality and poor impulse control. Updated 10/31/13: Subject underwent extreme and rapid devolution over the course of several days, committing at minimum three additional murders with intent to commit a fourth, all of them Troubled members of the Guard. Using the Guard tattoo as an identifier, subject stalked and murdered said victims, proceeding to conceal their bodies off an apparently-uninhabited coastline within a short boat trip from Haven proper. Bodies were not concealed in adequately deep water to prevent easy discovery given access to subject's GPS data. Subject and his brother had two major altercations after subject ST-BD-####'s discovery of the dumping ground, which culminated in subject's death at the hands of Duke Crocker. It is a matter of speculation whether subject purposefully ran onto subject ST-BD-####'s knife or if he lacked all necessary control to protect himself during the fight.

Presents with: Obfuscation. Manipulation of emotions, his own and others', to specific but unstated goals. Multiple goals, those most core to who subject is are almost certainly hidden beneath layers of misdirection and goals which are concurrent but less personal. Despite subject's attempts to conceal it, he feels genuine positive emotion towards subject IN-####; as their sole interaction thus far has been in the now-deceased artifact known as the Barn, we strongly believe that this extends to all designations and that if a prior relationship exists, it may well date back to subject IN-####'s original incarnation. Subject has at least basic combat training, both hand-to-hand and familiarity with some forms of firearms, though considering his observed location we cannot provide any estimates of when or how he might have acquired this training. Given the wide range of subject's emotional responses, we do believe him to be more-or-less human, or at least more capable of falsifying affect in a manner that allows him to relate to humans. At this time we do not know if or in what form he is capable of surviving outside of the Barn; however, given his proclivity for deceit and contrivance, we cannot rule out his reappearance in Haven on this side of the inter- or extra-dimensional portal known as the Door. (See files SR-RF## and SR-JT## for in-depth analysis of methods both advisable and otherwise to cross these types of portals.) Regardless of subject's other powers both physical and paranatural, we consider his ability to manipulate genuine emotion in himself and others his greatest skillset.

Attached please find several updated profiles; we're starting with the relatively simple and working our way through. Those of you on Teagues duty please take special note of the revised possibilities regarding type GL. The Cogan and Howard files may be dropped to archival purposes, along with, after this update, the McKee file. That said, we would not be surprised to find a need to update the first three files again, and besides they'll be extremely useful in comparing against current profiles of people who've dealt with them in the past, so don't completely deep-six them into your weird filing system, Peter.

We're currently constructing profiles for the three major new players. Alec, we're putting you on temporary field assignment to the new Crocker with Thomas. Set your little gadgets to work, focus on his car, and then get the hell out. We'd prefer no casualties on our side. Then you can tackle the brothers and their murder bunker. No, Dee, we still don't have time or funds to build our own. Kitty will take Mason in conjunction with her duties on subject ST-BD-####, with A as backup when she's not digging through the archives for supplemental material regarding subject SR-####. Expect paperwork to be filed by the end of next week at the latest.

Yeah, we know, by the time we finished it it was already out of date. The individual incarnations should be relatively accurate still; expect an update after we finish shredding recent events with our teeth. K swears her desk is going to be splinters.
